A $0 cost program for cancer survivors

Emerging from the Haze

“Chemo brain” is real, but it can get better. Cognitive rehabilitation is the most researched way to treat the fog, forgetfulness, and slowed thinking that can follow cancer treatment, and this program is built on it. It is offered at $0 cost to survivors in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

What the program is

Ten weekly classes, 60 minutes each, live on Google Meet in a small group of survivors, taught by a OneVillage clinician using the cognitive rehabilitation curriculum developed at Cedars-Sinai.

Each week takes on one practical skill: holding your attention, remembering what matters, planning and juggling more than one thing, and handling the fatigue and stress that make the fog worse. You practice between classes with short homework, then bring it back to the group.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Brain fog, or thinking slower than you used to
  • Losing focus when reading or talking
  • Searching for a word you know
  • Juggling more than one thing feels hard
  • Forgetting names, dates, or where you put things
  • Not feeling sharp back at work or school

What you'll do

Ten weekly classes, 60 minutes each, live on Google Meet in a small group, Wednesdays at 12 pm ET. That is 15 hours of clinical support: 10 class hours plus 5 hours of clinical time with your OneVillage clinician. Each class is a group medical visit, so we bill your insurance for it. Your cost is still $0: no copay and no bill to you.

Classes are recorded so you can review them between sessions; recordings supplement live attendance. Cameras are expected to be on during class, and exceptions are handled individually. Anything shared in the group stays confidential.
